CIS-EMO considers possibility of participation in monitoring of elections in Venezuela

CIS-EMO considers possibility of participation in monitoring of parliamentary elections of Venezuela – National assembly which will take place on September, 26th, 2010.

In Venezuela struggle of political parties has already begun, inviting the members and supporters to register in the register of voters, tactics which was accepted by the majority of the organisations of various directions and currents.

According to National selective council, registered 17 million 601 thousand 440 citizens, from 18 million 845 thousand 119 possible voters, by estimations of National institute of statistics.

From January, 25th till April, 30th on all country are opened more than two thousand registration centres for specification of the data and updating of lists before parliamentary elections on September, 26th where 165 deputies of National assembly will be named.

Forthcoming elections heat conditions as the attention is turned to supporters and opponents of president Hugo Chavez who, on the one hand, support process of changes and a socialist way of development, and others – against it.

Opposition struggle for deputy places will get every day more and more fierce character. President Chavez has already made the statement that control loss over parliament can lead to falling боливарианской to the power: «And then they will come on my head».

Enemies of Bolivariansky revolution – internal and abroad – on the eve of September elections make active all tested set of methods and the means including the scenarios of colour revolutions, гондурасского revolution and the direct armed aggression on purpose «indicative restoration of democracy» in Venezuela.
